The Hollywood Reporter then later reported that Hammer is set to headline “Frontier Crucible,” a period western from director Travis Mills and producer Dallas Sonnier.

Set in the backdrop of Arizona Territory in the 1870s, “Frontier Crucible” will follow a former soldier (Clohessy) with a tragic past who is forced to form an alliance with three outlaws (Jane, Hammer, and Kagen), a woman (Stickley), and her husband (Brown) in an attempt to survive the hostiles of the western frontier.

Hammer was previously dropped by his talent agency alongside lined-up projects in Hollywood after he was charged with sexual misconduct involving various women, as he was also accused of cannibalism behavior.

In 2021, the “Call Me By Your Name” actor’s ex-girlfriend Courtney Vucekovich alleged that “their romance was like dating a wannabe Hannibal Lecter,” revealing that the actor “wants to break her rib and eat it.”

The same year, Hammer was also accused by an anonymous woman, who alleged that the actor “mentally, emotionally, and sexually” abusing her during their on-and-off four-year relationship.

Following his controversies, a three-part documentary series, “House of Hammer,” was released in 2022, highlighting the allegations against the actor. The series featured two of Hammer’s exes who recounted their past experiences with Hammer.

In August of this year, the “Death on the Nile” actor announced that he’s selling his truck because he could no longer afford gas.
